The Mission of Laguna Irrigation District is to protect, enhance and manage the District’s water rights and available water supplies, while efficiently, equitably, and reliably delivering water to its landowners in a well-maintained distribution system. Since the enactment of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), the District has engaged in the regulatory process, been very progressive in the development of new groundwater recharge facilities and been proactive in defending and maximizing the groundwater supplies within the District.
